Update

posted on January 12th, 2009 - 9:00AM

We took a short ride over to the camp @ 16 mile lake to clear the snow from the roof. There is about 3' on the ground there and the trail was in good shape with a few small bumps around the corners.

Last week we got the ice shanty on the lake and have been catching a few pike but no perch.

Friday Amy and I took a trip to Little Bay De Noc. We got there about 10:30 am and had all the fishing gear we could pack except for my coat. An important thing to have when its 5 deg. So a quick trip to TSC in Escanaba for a coat and we headed out on the Bay. There was a lot of activity on the bay, trucks and shacks everywhere you looked. We fished 24' of water north east of Kippling launch. We did not have much action until about 4 pm. Then we started marking a lot of fish. We caught 3 nice perch and 3 Walleyes all to short. But we had a good time and will be heading down there again.

It sounds like this week will be cold with snow in the forecast all week.

Carl
