Fishing Report

posted on June 3rd, 2009 - 7:34AM

Sorry for the delay on the report; I have not made the time to report. Well the first two weeks of the walleye/pike season have been good when the wind and weather has cooperated. The largest walleye caught here was 26 1/2" with several fish 15-18" while fishing in 7-15 feet of water with live bait rigs and jigs.

The pike info I have heard is about the same as normal with lots of little ones and a few keepers mixed in.

I have only been out a few times myself and have kept 3 fish, 2 around 17" and a 21" caught in the evening on a jig where the river comes in the lake.

The water is up with all the rain we got last week. I have noticed a lot of schools of minnows in the water while working on the dock.

We have the new bait shop up and running and are starting to get a good selection of inland lake fishing tackle.

The pontoon is in the water and has been rented a couple of times.

Carl
