Trail / Fishing Report

posted on January 1st, 2010 - 1:59PM

We rode the last 2 days about 50 miles of groomed trails and 50 miles of forest roads. We were on trails 8, 7 and 417; all were groomed nice and smooth. The forest roads and back trails have about 2' of snow and are in good shape.

We have caught several small pike on tip ups and jigging rapalas. We pulled the big shack out and set it up yesterday. There is about 12" of ice out front but have heared it's thinner in spots on the lake.
I did hear of some nice perch and a couple 18" walleyes caught along the north shore.

We have received most of our ice fishing tackle for the bait shop. For live bait, we have Golden and Emerald Shiners, Suckers, Wigglers, Spikes, Wax Worms and Mousies.

Call or email if you have any fishing or snowmobling questions.
