Trail / Fishing Report

posted on January 20th, 2013 - 7:50PM

We finally have SNOW!!! They will be grooming our area trails tomorrow. Plenty of snow to snowmobile from here to the east up to Grand Marais. The snow depth is not typically what it usually is by the end of January but it is by far the best we have had this year. In and out of town should stay pretty good with the cold temps we will have through the week.

Fishing has been pretty consistent this past week. There is six to eight inches of ice on the lake. Catches have been mostly on tip-ups with undersize and keeper walleye and pike with a few small perch. Perch fishing should hopefully pick up in the next few weeks.
