Fishing Report

The first two weeks of Walleye and Pike season have been successful for the fishermen although the weather has been mostly windy and it has been difficult to get out fishing. The first week they caught a few big ones, mostly on minnows. The second week there were lots of undersized fish with some keeper Walleye but the fish caught were not as large and were caught on both minnows and leeches.
The smallmouth are on the beds and we had some anglers catching several with one being almost five pounds which our guest is having mounted.
I only have second hand information because I have been real busy lately but hopefully I will be able to get out fishing this week.
